I made a great decision when I chose John and his crew at Pro-Finish. I had obtained a couple of other bids that were to the roof. John came in at a third of the price I was quoted. During the walk-through, he suggested I buy cabinets for the laundry room at Home Depot since it Is a laundry room, to save money and he would mount them. He and his crew replaced all the wire shelving in the closets with wood, new rods and some with 24" cubbies. Our master closet looks beautiful, thanks to the expect craftmamship from Bill and Andrew. We have so much more room than before. Bill also trimmed and hung a pantry door for us. They built some garage steps to replace the ones already installed. They look twice as good now. Very professional look. We also asked John to add lofts to our storage room. I wanted to be able to store things we dont use as often in the lofts and get it off the floor. We were not expecting what we saw. It was a WOW response to the work done. What a fantastic job! I trust John. He is reasonable and we didn't feel he added a bunch of fluff to his price. I would call him MY carpenter now because I will never need to use anyone else with future projects. No job is too small.

John installed crown moulding for my home and it is beautiful. He was on time for job estimate and job start to finish. He paid attention to all the details to make sure we had a quality finished product. I will have John do any projects for me in the future and would highly recommend him.

John and his team did an amazing job installing door casings, baseboards, and crown molding in my bedrooms. They immediately identified various issues with my previous door installations and corrected them before starting on the casings. Communication was excellent, and I appreciated them helping me choose the right materials for the job. They took great care on protecting my newly installed floor, and took the time to do quality work and make each room look pristine. Highly recommended!

Mr. Shields and his crew made this amazing transformation happen. I absolutely love our new fireplace. My husband and the kids uninstalled the old fireplace, but we couldn’t make any progress for two years after that.

Then I found Pro-Finish and looked through their amazing work. Finally, I decided to move forward with redoing our fireplace. Mr. Shields guided me from the beginning all the way through to the final result. We have been looking for a quality trim carpenter for awhile and recently needed some new sturdy handrails installed as well as a built in shelving where previous drawers existed. John was prompt about responding, got us scheduled right away and provided a beautiful finished project. Our homes are Victorian and the handrails look like they have always been there. Our recent bed and breakfast inn guests at Holden House already commented on how much they appreciated having the extra sturdiness and safety of the handrail on our stairwells. We would highly recommend for your next carpentry project.

John & Bill were very professional & detail oriented. We had a tricky corner of the staircase cut out, replaced & you couldn't notice with the finish. Highly recommend!

Just what we needed. John, the owner, came by for the estimate and was on time and very friendly. His bid was competitive, fair, and the work was completed in a timely manner. During the estimate he told me exactly what to purchase for the job and on the day of install he was present to line out his other carpenter. Job site was cleaned when they finished and we were happy we choose Pro-finish.
